1995年毕业于华南理工大学自动化系获得博士学位，1995年-1997年中国矿业大学从事博士后研究。 1999年至今先后赴香港大学、韩国浦项工业大学、日本青山大学、澳大利亚中昆士兰大学、英国布鲁奈尔大学、英国斯特拉斯克莱德大学和英国格拉摩根大学进行讲学或访问研究。 IEEE Senior Member，国际刊物Int.J.Systems Science的Associate Editor，Members of IEEE CSS Conference Editorial Board，Associate Editor，J.Mathematical Control Science and Applications编委，Int.
