Hi there,
I am Yang Bao. I was born in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. I received my B.S. and M.S. degrees both from NJUPT and Ph.D. degree from Iowa State University which is located in Ames, a beautiful small town in central Iowa of United States. I like traveling, swimming, hiking, photography, and watching sports games, like NFL, NCAAM/F, NBA, etc.
I am currently an Associate Professor at NJUPT. My research mainly focuses on efficient multiphysics modeling and simulations in electromagnetics and nondestructive evaluation assisted by fast algorithms, artificial intelligence, statistical learning, optimization algorithms, etc. I have published 60+ peer-reviewed papers and served as the young editor and active reviewer for several academic journals. I work as the principal investigator (PI) of the Natural Science Foundation of China (NSF), Jiangsu Province, and the company research programs. I also serve as the special session chair of several international academic conferences such as ICCEM, ACES, and ISAPE.
Well, here is the point you may be interested in: there are around 3 openings per year for graduate students in my research group. Please feel free to let me know your interested research topic and then we can work on it together to complete your thesis. I ALWAYS encourage students to get internships after completing most parts of the thesis if they do not have plans for the Ph.D. program. You can easily find out that our alumni are competitive in the job market. They find jobs in technology companies, like Huawei, Rosenberger Asia Pacific, etc., and carriers like China Mobile/Telecom.
You are welcome to contact me at brianbao@njupt.edu.cn (please attach your CV and transcript in the email) if you are interested in pursuing a Master's Degree. I hope you guys enjoy the time in NJUPT with me.
